The all-new HEIDENHAIN LB 383 series incremental linear encoder with full-size scale housing and measuring lengths up to 72 meters is now available,  Additionally, single-section versions are available for up to 3040mm. 

The long travel HEIDENHAIN LB 383 / LB 383C features a new contamination resistant METALLUR scale tape and housing sections for measuring lengths up to 30040mm.  The LB 383 series is offered in standard and mirrored configurations in 200mm steps.  This improved design is not compatible with the LB 382 series or older LB scales.
